John Angell Jewellers was first established in 1830 the family jewellers
expanded in 1920 to occupy No's.110-114 of Tonbridge High Street until in 1960
when the premises moved to it's current outlet at No.64 High Street.
John Angell expanded further to a branch in Maidstone in 1926 and the last
Dover and Folkestone branches were open by the 1950's. All of the John Angell
branches have been refitted many times since their opening in keeping with the
company philosophy of both tradition and progression.
The branches were enlarged to carry a wide and varied range of diamond, gold
and silver jewellery, watches, clocks, silver, china and glassware.
Today the company is run by the direct descendants of the founder making it a
true family business.
Our first website was launched in the year 2000.
Current managing director, John Angell, believes that combining diverse quality
products with a knowledgeable staff is the key to a successful sales strategy.
John Angell Ltd always has an eye to the future in keeping with the progressive
attitude that prevails throughout the company, we hope to expand our ideals of
quality assurance and customer service into the 21st century and beyond.
John Angell is a family run jewellers long established throughout Kent as the
County Jewellers. John Angell, the founder of the company opened the original
branch in Tonbridge after moving from premises in Bromley establishing his
business as the County Jewellers.
